Lead the Field
by Earl Nightengale
"Lead the Field" is an amazing classic by Earl Nightengale in the field of self-development. I highly recommend reading this book or listening to the audio sessions. I believe that you will definitely benefit from this book and gain great ideas to correct your thoughts and actions. In this post, I listed some of my lessons from the "The Magic Word" session of the book.
What is success? Success is not luck or fate, or condition, it is a set of rules that can be followed. Success is a realization of our worthy thought in any kind of circumstance. Success can be achieved in any situation or condition by correcting the attitude. Successful people come from all kinds of backgrounds and they live and work with us having similar possibilities and problems in life. The only common attribute they have is their noble attitude to life and things around them. What we put in our attitude toward life, we'll receive a similar outcome.
Attitude is magic. Attitude is one's inclined feeling and mood toward his surroundings. Our attitude reflects back to us with equal outcomes as Earl Nightengale states "good attitude, good result, poor attitude poor result".
Develop a good attitude. We can develop our attitude by changing our thinking patterns to the positive side. Smiling and friendly talk with people boosts our attitude. Expect good and believe that there are countless good things and people around the world that you have to try to see them.
Forgive and forget. Forgive whatever people do wrong to you and forget about it. Never allow such kind things to stop you on the way toward your goals or catch your attention to think about them. Overthinking, too much expectation from others, and being reactive to every single act of people eventually may harm only you, not the others.
Highly recommend this book.
