Who Moved My Cheese?
by Spencer Johnson
Short and simple, but a useful story. It is a parable about a change. Two mice and two little people who live in Maze and their reaction in a search of Cheese are described.
Here are my lessons from this book.
Everything changes. Expect and observe changes around you. Learn to adapt to the changes. Be comfortable with a changing environment, the new knowledge, and skill you ever practiced, obstacles that try to stop you. Be pleased with meeting or working with new people.
Move forward to overcome your fears. The fear often stops you to act. Action against your fears provides relief from them. The situation may not be as bad as you imagined in your mind, so feel the fear and act. More opportunities may appear along the way. The fear is a healthy instinct that alarms us about the potential danger. Investigate the situation and act accordingly.
Old beliefs may not work on your new path. Sticking with old beliefs may not be a wise decision. Be open to new ideas and thoughts, apply them to reach your goals. If a change happens the new ideas and rules will come together, so your old beliefs may not work well with new ideas. Refine and improve your outlook, thinking pattern, and knowledge respectively to be comfortable in a new stage of your life.
I highly recommend reading this short book.
