“We become what we think about”
- Earl Nightingale
"A man can only rise, conquer, and achieve by lifting up his thoughts. He can only remain weak, and abject, and miserable by refusing to lift up his thoughts."
- James Allen
Our thoughts define us. A positive or negative attitude in our mind appears on our face and action. The positive person has positive thinking patterns and it might be consciously or unconsciously. Thinking gives inspiration and power, reveals new opportunities and solutions, and it empowers us to act.
Our thoughts massively influence our actions
Thinking is a mental rehearsal of actions. If we think more about the particular subject, we understand it better and eventually we become more skilled in it. Let your mind think and visualize the task at hand, spend a certain period of time on it. By thinking, we'll get the energy to act and find out solutions and method of execution of our plans.
Imagination improves the thinking ability
Practice imagination as much as you can. Describe the things that you want to accomplish in your mind. Visualize mentally the subject you are studying and problems you want to solve. See yourself as you wished to become. The things that developed by human beings started from the imagination of minds once upon a time. Never underestimate the power of imagination. To make use of it, guide your imagination into a certain topic and let your mind go deep down on it. Then you will find new insights, opportunities, and solutions.
How to think
Find a quiet place and sit comfortably. Avoid any kind of distractions. Early morning and outdoor nature might be a good time and place. Just bring the topic or question yourself and stay with your thoughts. Do not force yourself. If your mind jumps to other ideas, bring back your focus gently to the point. You can do it by closing your eyes or without. Be persistent on it and practice it every day.
You can pick up any topic to ponder from the small problem in your daily life to who you'll become after 10 years and from the questions like why the things are happening to why we are here in this world.
