The book describes efficient and productive thinking methods. It is a short and easy to read. The author explains eleven type of successful thinking. Benefits of each kind of thinking are described, and tips for improvement for those types of thinking are provided. What I liked the most about this book is a categorization of a thinking process. It is like a looking at the target from different angles and acquire information thoroughly about it. Furthermore, it helps to improve our thinking ability. Below are my learned lessons from this book.
- Big-Picture Thinking. Have a big picture view of your goals, projects, and priorities in life. It is long-term and broad outlook about the target. If you don't have an overall idea of what you are doing, then create one by a 'big-picture' thinking.
- Focused Thinking. Direct your full thinking capacity into the problem. It provides a better understanding of the problem, finding right solutions, and producing high-quality results. Allocate a time every day to think deeply about your plans and issues that you are facing.
- Creative Thinking. Think creatively. Be open whatever idea comes into your mind, tackle the alternatives, try possible options, approach with unusual methods. They help us to become creative.
- Realistic Thinking. Know the reality, do not go far from it. The fact is a truth, so think according to reality.
- Strategic Thinking. Reflect your long-term projects, activities, and plans thoroughly. Create a strategic plan to accomplish your goals.
- Possibility Thinking. Find the opportunities.
- Reflective Thinking. Learn the lessons through the analyzing, and reflective thinking about your previous experiences, and learn others experiences too.
- Popular Thinking. It is like a following the crowd like doing what others do, and act. To achieve something extraordinary, we need to think about the things that are unpopular and uncommon.
- Shared Thinking. Listen, appreciate and learn from others opinions. Share your thoughts and learn collaborative work style with people towards the goals. By shared thinking, we may achieve quicker, better, and more significant results.
- Unselfish Thinking. Thinking about others, helping, supporting, and giving them shows your care and appreciation towards the people around you. It provides inner happiness.
- Bottom-Line Thinking. Know the final result of your project. After doing so and so, what do you want to achieve, or want to be, why you need to accomplish your goal? Give such questions to yourself and find the answer. The bottom-line thinking provides clear vision and better way to keep track of the projects.
I highly recommend to read this book, and you may find it here.
Thank you for reading.
