Do the Work
by Steven Pressfield
I found this book interesting because it gives a straightforward message - "Do the work!". It is a simple and short book that you can finish it in one sit. "Do the work" highlights the importance of the work to accomplish anything. I think it is a good reference to get started on the task at hand and to stay motivated to execute the project. The book looks like a PowerPoint presentation that mentions key ideas and some of them highlighted with big fonts. I think it is a kind of writing approach from the author.
The main idea of this book is simply 'do the work'. If you want to do your project or the goal you want to accomplish, start working on it from today. This is the only and the right way to their realization.
It is not about your skill, preparedness, timing, age, etc., it is about just starting it and doing the work.
Resistance is the enemy that stops us to work or delays us to start the work. Overcome it, put your first step and keep moving forward. All successful people start by putting their first simple steps toward their goals. You and I should also start our first steps toward the goals no matter whatever the situation is.
Failure is certain but it is not the end. Learn from the mistakes and do the task again.
Learn to accept criticism and negative opinions but never allow them to stop you.
Make it simple. Divide into three sections: start, middle, and end. If you can establish those main building blocks then you have done with the task. The others come along the way, do not bother about them.
Again, it is an interesting book and I recommend reading it.
