Takeaways from See You At The Top

See You At The Top by Zig Ziglar

Explaining the fundamental concepts of self-development with interesting stories, See You At The Top gives a motivation, a better self-image, and a belief that one can utilize to improve his life. Below, some of my lessons from this book. I highly recommend this book and you can find it here.

Better self-image is a blueprint to shape up our best self. Believing in success, better attitude, socializing with the right people, and self-confidence are key factors to build a better self-image.
Treat people well, and you will be treated as you treat the others. Applying relationship tools such as helping people, a sincere compliment, genuine smile, and attention will boost relationship with others and make one feel much better.

Goals lead us to the things that we want to accomplish. Setting goals and working on them means that you are serious about your time and your life, you want to achieve or produce something useful for yourself and others in a given time. Have goals always, regularly improve (add/update/change) them, and keep on your eye to their progress. Reminding goals to ourselves every day provides better focus and energy to accomplish. Once we achieve the specific target in our goal list, we will have a feeling of fulfillment, a power to work more, and motivation to reach another goal. Set a big, long range, specific goals and work on them every day.

Have the right attitude, and your betterment starts from it. With your attitude, you can find out the good sides of every failure, lessons from the adversity, and hope in calamity. Be positive, have enthusiasm in your efforts, try to see the things with your best attitude. Your inputs represent the outputs that you get, so feed your mind with positive, right inputs. We may not control the situation, but we can control our reaction to it. Do not be hopeless. If you fail, get up again and don't give up.
